- NOTE: THIS PROGRAM *MUST* RUN IN A NON-WINDOWED DOS BOX.

- To re-window the DOS box, press ALT-ENTER again once you have left the game.
-
- If you are not familiar with DOS...
- 1. Open your DOS window.
- 2. (START, RUN, COMMAND.COM - or doubleclick your DOS icon)

- 4. Change to the appropriate directory where you installed the game.

-
- The game is in BETA test at the moment. There are a few things that you will
- encounter difficulty with, the one section that is proving troublesome is the
- SHAREMARKET screen. While this can help you raise team funds, it is not a
- required part of the game. If you have problems with it, just leave this part
- of the game alone.
-
- If you notice any other wierdness, please email maddox@paintball.co.nz and
- let me know precisely what happened, and what you were doing when it
- happened. This will help me fix up bugs for future versions of the game.
-
- -------------------------------------
-
- I don't want to hear whining about how hard the game is. I know it can be
- hard. You really need to concentrate on training BIG TIME in order to win
- games as the teams progress through the years. THEY are doing all their
- training behind the scenes, and their fundraising, so you should be too.
- Don't just skip past the months, or you'll start losing games very early on.
-
- -------------------------------------
-
- I know, I know, the game is written in QBASIC. Its an obsolete language, but
- I've had bits of code lying around for years, and figured I'd chuck them
- together into a game. My eventual plan is to have this whole game running
- live over a web site so that you can play against other teams managed by
- real people. This involves me getting off my arse to come to grips with
- JAVA and the like, so it might take a while.
-
- -------------------------------------
-
- The game is freeware. That means you can send it to people, copy it all over
- the place, upload it wherever you want, or even enscribe it on gold CD's and
- fire it off out of the solar system on a Voyager mission if you want. As long
- as you don't play around with the code or the accompanying text or graphics,
- I don't mind. I still reserve the right to be recognised as the owner and
- author of the software though.
-
- -------------------------------------
-
- For those of you who downloaded the teensy little zip file from somewhere
- like download.com and then had to search for the link for this game, I
- apologise. I ran out of storage space, and needed to move the game off-server
- to another location... therefore the link in download.com (or shareware.com)
- was not accurate. Rather than have you meet a "FILE NOT FOUND" message, I
- thought you'd find it more useful to find a zip file of the same name with
- an instruction as to how to find the full version.
